Founded in 1982, S&G Asphalt Service is proud to serve the greater Lehigh Valley area with quality asphalt. Over the decades, we’ve installed and maintained commercial and residential asphalt all over communities like Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, PA. Our pavement experts are dedicated to constantly improving their expertise and sourcing advanced paving products like thermoplastic traffic paint.
Our asphalt experts used this new thermoplastic paint when one of our clients in Easton, PA contacted us about a damaged asphalt road. The roadway is heavily trafficked, serving local routes as well as industrial and commercial properties. Because of our outstanding reputation in the Lehigh Valley area, they knew our expert crew could get the roadway safe quickly so that local residents can get back to work.
Because this road had suffered wear from lots of heavy vehicles, the wear led to several common types of asphalt damage. When the top layer of pavement gets worn way, water can soaks down into the asphalt, and then expands and causes cracks in the winter. Over the years, the asphalt breaks down and sinking, potholes, and large cracks form. If the gravel base layer gets compromised, the asphalt can also form drainage issues.
The Easton, PA roadway had all these kinds of asphalt damage, but the pros were there to help. The pavement experts from S&G Asphalt Service first removed the damaged layer of asphalt, then poured high quality pavement on top. To create the pavement lines that keep local drivers safe, we used a state of the art traffic paint called thermoplastic paint that is applied just like asphalt at a high temperature so that bonds well as it cures.
